New Zealand takes out six nations wine challenge

2012 PINOT NOIR

New Zealand has been named Nation of Show at the 2014 Six Nations Wine Challenge, an initiative of the Association of Australian Boutique Winemakers Inc.

The award is calculated on the basis of the nation's overall aggreggate scores across 16 classes.

New Zealand was also presented with the Red Wine of Show award for its Dog Point Pinot Noir 2012, meanwhile South Africa’s Silverthorn Blanc de Blancs 2011 took out the title of White Wine of Show.

Silverthorn and Dog Point Vineyards were joint winners of the Wine of the Show award.
