2012 SECTION 94

Year in and year out this outstanding producer makes my favorite New World Sav Blanc. This week we opened a 2008 and 2009 and both were amazing. Due to barrel fermentation, great fruit and amazing winemaking, this wine has a texture and longevity not seen in many Sav Blancs. Amazingly food friendly, if you are not sure what to serve it with just contact me and I will be your personal chef! They also make some amazing Pinot Noir and Chardonnay at great price points. 2012 CHARDONNAY

Dog Point Vineyard Chardonnay Marlborough 2012 This fits somewhere between Napa Chardonnay and white Burgundy. It’s creamy yet refreshing, a suitable complement to fish, but also roast chicken. The 14 percent alcohol, at just the high side of modest, leaves space for subtlety and evolution.
