Dry, firmly concentrated and tight, the drive and vibrancy of the nectarine, citrus, herb and spice fruit flavours are enhanced by bright, racy acidity. This has a purity of fruit focus, and very fine textures provide linearity, leading to a long, cutting finish.
Dog Point’s increasingly famous Section 94 is a barrel-fermented sauvignon blanc that adds texture and complexity to a variety more famous for its punchy fruit flavours. It’s a taut, steely, and slightly funky wine with impressive drive and power. The 2010 is possibly the best vintage yet.
