Dog Point Section 94 2005

Reviewed in The Listener, NZ (26 Mar 2007)
The moment you smell it you can tell that this wine is serious because instead of playing coy with some fruity ditty, it gets straight down to tone and complexity.
Instead of getting fruit juice and caricature of grape flavour, you get deep and interesting wine with a wash of nuts and moments of fresh cream cheese that burble on in a rich patois recalling sunny vineyards and crusty old winemakers.
In short, a very fine bottle, worthy of good food and intelligent conversation.
