The stylish 2006 vintage was hand-picked, fermented with indigenous yeasts and matured for 18 months in French oak barriques (45 per cent new). Full ruby, it is savoury and supple, with spice, herb and nut flavours showing good concentrations and complexity. An intensely varietal wine, with lots of 'forest floor' notes, it's drinking well already.
