Dog Point Sauvignon Blanc 2008

Michael Cooper's Buyer's Guide to NZ Wines 2009

4 StarĀ

This wine offers a clear style contrast to Section 94, the company's complex, barrel-aged Sauvignon Blanc. Hand-picked, it is lees aged in tanks, with no exposure to oak. The 2008 vintage is mouthfilling, with good weight and depth of vibrant, ripe, limey, slightly leesy flavours, fresh acidity and a smooth (4.8 grams/litre of residual sugar, finely balanced finish.
