The 2006 Sauvignon Blanc, once again, has good intensity on the nose, slightly more herbaceous than the 2008 with a touch of undergrowth. The palate is well balanced with notes of gooseberry, lime and a little capsicum towards the finish. This is still drinking well, although the 2008 displays more deftness of touch.

James Healy and Ivan Sutherland continue to produce some wonderful Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough, their flagship Section 94 seeming to appear on just about every wine-list of any self-respecting restaurant in New Zealand. Ivan opened vintages that I did not taste on my previous trip to Marlborough as well as recent releases.
